What is Run Tough?

The Run Tough Philosophy is simple and it is enumerated at the top of the homepage of my website: Running is a vehicle for developing human potential. By challenging ourselves, we reinforce the fact that as human beings we are inherently strong and resilient. Running is a way to teach oneself how to tap into that resilience and strength in everday life.

My Hope for you

Whether you are a novice runner or an experienced athlete looking to improve, I believe I have the philosophical and practical tools to help you reach your goals. All running goals are admirable and I am here to help you achieve them.  It doesn't matter if you want to run your first 5k, improve your marathon time, or finish an ultra-marathon, I can help you succeed. The picture next to these words is me after finishing my first marathon. I was confident in stating "I will never do this again." Little did I know what that small taste of success and achievement would bring me. You might struggle along the path to your goals but riches of the mind are available to those who persevere.

What your commitment means

I am inspired by each and every client that comes to me looking to improve. Your commitment to a goal is something that when made, you owe to yourself to see to the finish. I am here as a source of knowledge and motivation, but ultimately it is you who will decide how far the Run Tough Philosophy can take you. Committing to a goal is a promise to yourself. This next picture is me in the midst of finishing the Leadville 100 just 2 years after that first marathon. I made the commitment to myself to improve and to this day I am reaping the rewards of that decision.
